project for land re-structuring in
Guayacanes municipality, san pedro de
macoris province.
The main objective of this project is the
restructuring of land belonging to the
Vicini Group in Guayacanes, San Pedro de
Macoris Province, through a process that
improves the life conditions of the
population, their reallocation in decent
houses and the social organization. This
project considers the reallocation of 1107
families settled in these lands, building
houses for them in the same area and proving
the rising community with the infrastructure
service and community equipments. |
Among the actions included in the project we
find the following:
Create a Community Committee for the project
in the area representing the population.
Involve the community and other support
organizations in the implementation of the
project.
Obtain the support of the local government
authorities, religious representatives and
other sectors of Guayacanes community to
ensure the success of the actions.
Achieve voluntary reallocation of the 1107
families that live in the area, moving them
to new houses and offering an economic
compensation.
Give them the land titles or rights or live
in it, to reallocated families and establish
regulations for the management of common
areas in the urbanization to be constructed.
Provide the new houses with basic services
of: power, drinking water, sewage water
treatment, streets, education and health
center, a community area for sports and
recreation.
The implemented project serves as an example
of a concensus model and solution between
the business sector and the community in the
country.
Beneficiaries also receive technical and
vocational training, health, environmental
and citizenship education.
The motive for the land re-structuring is
due to the construction of touristic and
finantial projects of great significance in
the area. |
