improvement of health and education, local reinvestment, creation of job
opportunities for the communities.

Despite the present
crisis, we are achieving to keep the neighborhoods clean, resulting in a
remarkable improvement in families’ health and incomes.

We have succeeded in
reducing and in some cases, eliminating old deseases.

Every month, families pay
30% aproximateley of the city waste collection service.

An income generating pilot
program is being implementing through craftwork with health and clean-up
promoters of Capotillo, La Zurza, Simón Bolívar, Duarte, Las Palmas, Enriquillo,
El Café, y La Mina.
Three basic techniques are developed:
- Handcraft recycled
paper
- Paper mache figures
- Higüero lamps and
rattles
- Small businesses have
already been created.
- Sale and production
will begin soon.

and personal education.
